Job Title:
Design Lead

Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Design Lead to manage the overall design process for civil and infrastructure projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to lead a team of experts in delivering high-quality designs that meet statutory requirements and design intent.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive design strategies for civil and infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery of all design packages.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including consultants, authorities, and contractors, to coordinate and interface on project matters.
  • Review and evaluate technical submissions, design drawings, and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and design standards.
  • Manage design schedules, identifying and mitigating potential delays or issues.
  • Participate in design and technical meetings, resolving design discrepancies and constructability issues.
  • Ensure authority submissions are prepared accurately and submitted on time, following through until approvals are obtained.
  • Implement and monitor design quality assurance/control systems, ensuring designs meet relevant safety, environmental, and sustainability standards.
  • Assist in evaluating design changes, variation proposals, and value engineering opportunities.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by PE Board Singapore
  • Min 12 years of engineering experience, at least 8 years in designing civil and infrastructure project structures of similar scale, complexity, and nature of work. Preference given to candidates with LTA experience.
  • Strong technical understanding of civil and structural engineering design, construction methods, and sequencing.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills.
