We are seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer - Commissioning Expert to join our team at Bureau Veritas Group. As a key member of our commissioning team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful installation, testing, and commissioning of our railway signaling systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation: Ensure that sites are properly stocked with installation and test tools and oversee their periodic calibration in accordance with our standards.
  • Factory Acceptance Testing: Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) in the laboratory, including the preparation of the FAT plan.
  • Site Commissioning: Undertake site commissioning activities of radio-based train control systems, including functional tests, System Acceptance Testing (SAT), and System Integration Testing (SIT). Guarantee that all interfaces to the signaling system are appropriately tested.
  • Testing and Commissioning: Conduct testing and commissioning of the On-Board, Wayside, and Radio systems.
  • Liaison with Engineering Team: Liaise with the Engineering team and/or suppliers to address any design changes or modifications necessitated by test results.
  • Test Result Reporting: Record, report, and endorse test results as required.
  • Project Planning: Ensure that testing activities are carried out in a timely, logical, and cost-effective manner.
  • Collaboration with Client Teams: Collaborate with the Engineering team on the evolution of drawings (including mark-up, change orders, and transmittals) until the as-built stage is reached.
  • Relationship Building: Develop productive relationships with client teams to guarantee the successful handover and post-implementation operation of projects.
  • Scheduling and Planning: Plan and schedule site Integration and Testing Commissioning (ITC) activities in accordance with the rolling program, ensuring alignment with the master program.
  • Redline Corrections: Produce redline corrections based on the released drawings.
  • Failure Rectification: Correct and rectify failures that occur during the Testing and Commissioning (T&C) phase.
  • Non-Conformity Reporting: Raise Non-Conformity Reports (NCRs), Material Non-Conformity Reports (MNCRs), and fault reports upon identifying any issues.
  • Record Consolidation: Consolidate and track records, software, hardware, and field changes.
  • Field Change Implementation: Implement field change orders.
  • Procedure Preparation: Prepare installation, testing, and commissioning procedures/method statements for the communication-based train control system.
  • Quality Verification: Verify the quality of installation works and raise concerns if there are any quality issues.
  • Problem Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and analyze any problems encountered.
  • Collaboration with Wayside Testers: Maintain good collaboration with wayside testers during interface testing.Requirements
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronics Engineering.
    • Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience (or more preferred).
    • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of train delivery and the ability to manage installation, static, and dynamic testing. Experience in Vehicle Signaling Installation Testing and Commissioning. Rolling stock experience (advantageous).
