Production Optimization Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Optimization Manager to lead our production planning efforts and drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing operations.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing production plans and execution strategies to meet output targets, on-time delivery to customers, cycle time, and day of inventory metrics. They will analyze daily production operations progress and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any issues impacting delivery schedules to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement integrated systems for managing materials flow, production processes, inventory control, and human work factors.
  • Drive continuous improvement to achieve best-in-class performance on cycle time and delivery.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for in-line planning and production control-related activities.
  • Forecast production logistics, direct, and indirect materials to ensure production readiness to meet weekly output plans.
  • Review current resource inventory levels to ensure sufficiency to meet fluctuations in supply requirements.
  • Identify and address bottleneck areas, constraints on existing and new processes or work procedures with support groups.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Physics, Chemistry, Applied Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science from a recognized institution of higher learning. You should also have experience in manufacturing processes capacity planning, automation, scheduling, cycle time, and manufacturing efficiency. Strong organizational, coordination, and leadership skills are essential, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and basic coding skills.
