Virtualization Infrastructure Specialist

This role is critical in supporting our large-scale virtualization migration project. Your expertise in deploying, operating, and maintaining various virtualization platforms will ensure their stability, performance, and reliability.

The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on experience in AIX, Oracle/RedHat KVM, and VMware virtualization, along with scripting skills to automate server management tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, configure, and operate virtualization platforms, including AIX, Oracle/RedHat KVM, and VMware virtualization.
  • Perform daily health checks on virtualization platforms to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work in shifts to cover critical hours onsite and provide 24x7 offsite support when required.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and resolve issues related to virtualization infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth migration and deployment activities.
  • Automate operational tasks using shell scripting to enhance efficiency in server management.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incidents.
Requirements
  • 4–8 years of experience in IT infrastructure roles, with hands-on expertise in virtualization platforms.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Oracle/RedHat KVM server, VMware virtualization, and AIX PowerVM.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting for automation of operational tasks.
  • Experience in managing large-scale virtualization deployments and migrations.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
