Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for underwriting and assessing commercial lines risks in accordance with established guidelines and protocols to secure profitable business. They will engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive business, provide solutions, and deliver value to clients as part of managing their commercial lines portfolio.
">- Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential losses and ensure the long-term sustainability of our business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for growth and improvement, and develop solutions to address complex business challenges.
- Provide technical advice and guidance on commercial line products to intermediaries, clients, and fellow staff as needed.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators to inform business decisions and optimize results.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and excellence in our commercial lines business.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. business, finance, insurance).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably in the commercial lines insurance industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and open-minded, with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and mutual support.
