Job Summary

PBA Group's Robotics Automation Centre of Excellence (RACE) is a leading training academy that empowers individuals with robotics, automation, and digital manufacturing technologies.

We are expanding our Industry 4.0 and robotics training to young learners through RACE Juniors, our dedicated kids' education arm.

RACE Juniors provides coding and robotics programmes for young learners ages 6 to 16 years old, integrating STEM into engaging activities.

As our RACE Juniors embark on the coding and robotics learning journey, they explore the world of robotics, taking them a step towards the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate coding and robotics classes for young learners ages 6 to 16 years old
  • Follow RACE's framework for class facilitation
  • Facilitate both online synchronous learning and offline face-to-face classroom learning
  • Assist in classroom and freelance trainer scheduling as well as resource planning
  • Monitor and track the progress of young learners and provide support
  • Provide regular feedback to parents on the progress of the young learners
  • Ensure equipment and other hardware is not damaged and accounted for after each offline face-to-face classroom learning
  • Conduct, engage and interact young learners with RACE Junior's lesson plans
  • Maintain a conducive learning environment by demonstrating good classroom management
  • Deliver training in an enthusiastic, motivational training style
  • Support and develop training curriculum and all training related resources based on learning objectives
  • Perform administrative duties as required or assigned
  • Track students' attendance and progress, housekeeping and any other ad-hoc duties or responsibilities

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree preferably in the area of Engineering, Computer Science or Programming
  • Prior experience in teaching and/or training kids would be an advantage
  • Passionate in training young learners (Primary and Secondary) is a plus
  • Able to work independently and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, proactive with good work ethics
  • Open to residents of Singapore only

Technical Competencies:

  • Knowledge in one or more of the following:
  • Scratch, Micro:bit, MIT App Inventor, Python, LEGO WeDo 2.0/Mindstorms EV3 and Arduino
  • Java, C/C++
  • Mechanism design
