Iron Reinforcement Specialist

About the Role:

  • We are seeking an Iron Reinforcement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and sketches to plan rebar or mesh installation, determining reinforcing rod quantity, size, and shape, and identifying placement locations.
  • The ideal candidate will have construction expertise, metalworking skills, electrical knowledge, woodworking abilities, fabrication techniques, welding proficiency, and experience with rebar handling and assembling tasks.
  • Responsibilities include preparing rebar and mesh for installation using metal shears, hacksaws, and torches, bending or welding rebar together as needed, installing cables according to specifications, tying wire around rods using pliers to secure them in place, and positioning and securing rods, cables, mesh, or rebar within concrete forms.

Requirements:

  • Relevant work experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of construction principles and practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Able to work safely at heights and in confined spaces
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials
