Senior Manager, Project Management

As a Senior Manager in Project Management, you will be responsible for leading data center projects from initiation to closure. Your expertise in project management and construction management will be essential in ensuring the successful execution of these projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage new data center project execution for green and/or brown field projects regionally.
  • Support the individual country project lead and overview of all phases of the data center project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closing.
  • Develop project master programs, project charters, and set up project processes.
  • Sourcing for suitable specialists and subject matter experts to be part of project delivery teams.
  • Translate business requirements/plan into executable project deliverables.
  • Prepare project budgets, manage approved project capital funding cash flow, and spending within approved budgets.
  • Lead project tenders and administration processes.
  • Timely and accurately reporting of project progress and expenditure to management.
  • Familiar with data center risk redundancy configurations and requirements.
  • Day-to-day construction oversight to ensure the project is carried out in compliance with EHS requirements in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
  • Assist in researching new technologies that could apply to new DC or to enhance current DC.
  • Knowledgeable in various M&E critical systems (e.g., UPS, Generator, Chiller, Cooling Tower) requirement including testing and commissioning (i.e., FAT, SAT, IST).
  • Knowledge in civil and architecture details including the sequence of work to support the development of schedules for efficient delivery.
  • Ensure Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health are implemented by project contractors.
  • Ability in reading design and construction drawings for all fields (Architectural, Structural, M&E, etc.).
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate communication, provide updates, and address concerns.
  • Foster a culture of quality assurance and improvement for the project and within the project team.
  • Ensure projects conform to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Willing to travel regionally on an as-needed basis (20% - 25% travel).
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in project management or construction management with proven track records in green and/or brown field data center projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or Architecture.
  • Possess good leadership with great problem-solving skills.
  • Possess good communication skills in English with attention to detail.
  • Possess strong negotiation skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess positive attitude.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
