Job Opportunity:

This role requires an experienced Network Specialist to design, implement and maintain network infrastructure for a leading company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, and configuring network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.

They will also support network upgrades and migrations, collaborate with IT teams, and maintain accurate network documentation.

Additionally, the candidate will respond to incidents and outages, participate in on-call rotations, and work within established configuration and change management policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, VPN, Wireless, and Firewall.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
  • Configure and manage network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, ACI, Cato Remote VPN, and Akamai Guardicore Microsegmentation.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in Network Infrastructure operation, design and build, project implementation and delivery.
  • Proven operational experience in managing Network and security operations.
  • Experience in managing network components like Cisco ACI, Forney Firewall, F5 Load Balancers, DNS, Aruba Wireless, Aruba Clearpass, and Solarwinds are essential.
Qualifications:
  • Professional certification is essential. E.g. CCNP.
  • University degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
  • Programming Skills with Python will be advantageous.
Essential Skills:

Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostics and network analytics tools, strong knowledge in network design including routing, switching and security, and experience in enterprise network architecture planning or design concepts such as network segmentation or network segregation are required.

Additional skills include experience managing SDN Solutions (E.g. Cisco ACI), Firewall and Load Balancers, and knowledge of ITIL framework and principles.

Competencies:

Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills are required, along with team player and self-motivated abilities.

Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle is necessary, as well as a pragmatic and flexible mindset to succeed in an ever-changing and dynamic environment.
