Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead engaging individual or group sessions that achieve various communicative or academic language learning outcomes.
- Establish a motivating and effective learning environment that encourages and supports learners, guiding them towards their goals.
- Presentation of high-quality language and pedagogical knowledge, maintaining ongoing development through workshops and training courses.
- Design original lesson plans and activities based on our materials, adhering to our syllabi or creating customized programs for individual learners and corporate clients.
- Evaluation of learners' performance, assessment of homework, and grading written and spoken production in assessments.
- Additional support to learners needing extra help to keep up with their group or meet their goals.
- Enrichment of existing programs with feedback and development work or assistance in creating original programs for individuals or corporate clients.
- Collaboration with the team on courses, development, and sharing ideas, while participating in school events.
- Conduct placement interviews to determine the best course for new learners.
- Maintenance of records of learner progress and growth, writing helpful reports.
- Compliance with CPE and EduTrust regulations.
- Assistance in projects to improve the school and academic department.
- Support other teachers with planning, observations, and peer support.
- High proficiency in and comprehensive knowledge of the language taught (Portuguese)
- Effective working proficiency with English for communication with administrative staff
- Bachelor's degree
- Certification or equivalent training in modern, communicative language pedagogy
- At least 3 years of language teaching experience
- Ability to effectively manage and lead classes face-to-face and online
- Ability to plan lessons and create activities achieving course aims
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
