Early Childhood Educator Job Description

The role of an Infant Educator is multifaceted, requiring a combination of care, supervision, and management skills to cater to the needs of infants and toddlers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate educational programs for infants and toddlers in accordance with centre's policies and framework.
  • Carry out routine care duties such as feeding, changing diapers, and ensuring overall hygiene and safety of the children.
  • Establish a nurturing environment that promotes emotional security, trust, and open communication between children and caregivers.
  • Work collaboratively with parents to ensure their child receives adequate information about their progress at the centre.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certifications in Early Childhood Care & Education (DPT/CPT/HCIC/CIT/ACEY)
  • Fundamentals or Certificate in Preschool teaching
  • First Aid Certification will be an advantage
  • Experience in toddler care will be an advantage
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
