Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Education Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children and a passion for music and movement.

The Education Assistant will assist the main teacher in leading music and movement lessons for babies and toddlers, making the lessons fun and engaging while inculcating a love for music in the students. They will also sing along with the main teacher in the music segment.

The successful candidate will be able to work well with babies, toddlers, and young children as well as parents, and will have excellent classroom management skills. They will be warm, bubbly, energetic, and confident, with a responsible and proactive approach. A growth mindset is essential, with a willingness to constantly learn and improve.

  • Assist in parent-accompanied music and movement lessons for babies/toddlers
  • Assist the main teacher in music and movement lessons to young children aged 6 months to 6 years old in a group setting
  • Make the lessons fun and inculcate a love for music in the students
  • Sing along with the main teacher in the music segment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work well with babies, toddlers and young children as well as parents
  • Fluent in Mandarin as classes are conducted 100% in Mandarin
  • Good with classroom management
  • Warm, bubbly, energetic and confident personality
  • Responsible and proactive
  • Have a passion for nurturing children
  • Growth mindset - be constantly learning and looking to improve. Willing to accept feedback.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  1. A degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  2. Experience working with young children and their families
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  5. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written)
  6. Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational software
