Job Role: Laboratory Support Specialist

The successful candidate will provide technical and analytical support for daily laboratory operations, including DNA and protein preparation and analysis.

This role involves maintaining accurate records, generating reports, and performing routine instrument maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert technical support and assist in daily laboratory operations.
  • Maintain precise records and generate detailed reports according to standard operating procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments to guarantee accuracy and efficiency.
  • Order and manage stock and resources effectively to minimize waste and maximize productivity.
  • Assist in training laboratory personnel on laboratory procedures and equipment operations to enhance skill levels and promote a culture of excellence.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Biological Sciences, Life Sciences, or Bioengineering is essential.
  • Familiarity with basic laboratory procedures and skills such as Protein Purification, DNA Preparation, Cell Culture, Protein Chemistry, Flow Cytometry, and other relevant skills is mandatory.
  • Experience with automation platforms, such as liquid handling systems, is an added advantage.
