Commis Cook Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Commis Cook. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital part in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes.

This entry-level position is perfect for individuals who have a basic understanding of kitchen operations and a strong interest in cooking. The Commis Cook will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of various dishes, ensuring consistency and quality throughout.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Mise en place: Preparation of ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of various dishes under the guidance of the team.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and adherence to food safety standards.
  • Work effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
