Job Overview

The Manager of Entertainment Operations is responsible for leading a team to deliver world-class entertainment experiences on a growing fleet of ships.

This role involves guiding future operational tactics to ensure fleet expansion deliverables are executed and supporting the shipboard entertainment technical team in delivering high-quality entertainment experiences with ongoing projects and partnerships.

The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in diversified team management, and a deep understanding of theatrical technologies including lighting, special effects, pyrotechnics, audio, projection, show systems, costuming, and set design.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of entertainment professionals to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive talent development and retention for shipboard teams.
  • Collaborate with Creative, Production, and Operating teams during event development, installation, commissioning, testing, and transitions to operations.
  • Manage music and media contracts, advise on departmental capital planning, and implement processes to reinforce efficiencies.
  • Oversee large-scale projects, allocate resources, and manage vendors for Entertainment Operations projects.
  • Partner with shoreside and shipboard teams to ensure areas are operational and show-ready; oversee pyrotechnic logistics for safety and compliance.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to direct reports, including onboarding, training, and succession planning; uphold safety and quality standards.
Requirements
  • 10+ years' experience in diversified team leadership in entertainment project management, live event production, and technical disciplines.
  • Core knowledge/subject matter expertise in theatrical technologies (Technical Direction, Lighting, Special Effects, Pyrotechnics, Audio, Projection, Show Systems, Costuming, Set Design and Construction).
