Strategic Japan Equities Investment Manager

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Japan Equities Investment Manager to oversee the management of our Japan Equities fund. This role requires strong analytical skills, native-level Japanese fluency, and in-depth knowledge of Japanese business culture.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Independently constructing and managing a long/short net neutral Japan equities portfolio to maximize returns and minimize risk
- Conducting in-depth research on Japanese companies, particularly small and mid-cap names, to identify investment opportunities
- Building and maintaining detailed financial models to forecast earnings and valuations, and generate investment ideas
- Generating and managing both long and short investment ideas based on proprietary research and analysis
In addition to these responsibilities, the ideal candidate will have:
- Native-level Japanese fluency (reading, writing, speaking) essential for company interaction and research
- A deep understanding of Japanese business culture and communication practices, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field, with relevant work experience in investment management
