Objective:
To oversee logistical operations within the Quality Control (QC) departmentKey Duties:
Manages the receipt and storage of samples in accordance with local protocols. Conducts routine and non-routine sampling of raw materials and utilities while adhering to GMP standards. Ensures proper packaging of samples and timely shipment of correct samples to offsite recipients. Maintains an adequate inventory of QC materials (both purchased and prepared materials/glassware) to support testing; ensures no excess inventory. Ensures proper disposal of waste materials in a timely manner. Implements 6S practices and maintains cleanliness in the laboratory, work areas, and equipment. Assists with equipment calibration and maintenance, including autoclave requalification and washing machine verification. Conducts peer reviews for task and data verification. Participates in laboratory investigations (when necessary) and aids in the timely resolution of investigations and CAPAs. Ensures proper archival of submitted documents for easy retrieval. Identifies and promptly reports QC issues to the supervisor. Complies with all safety and security policies and practices. Manages various ad-hoc support tasks. Assists the QC support manager in team management and operations. Schedules daily shop floor activities and resource management to ensure timely sample and material handling. Provides training to the team. Offers guidance, support, and technical expertise to the team. Involves in investigations and protocol/report writing (when required). Participates in writing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Organizational and Management Responsibilities Fosters strong team morale and a culture of accountability and ownership. Provides leadership, guidance, and technical support to junior staff. Promotes continuous improvement in QC operations. Ensures that expenditures remain within budget.Required Skills:
Professional Qualifications
For QC Support Technologist - Recent graduates of NITEC, Diploma in Science (or equivalent) For Senior QC Support Technologist - Graduates of NITEC, Diploma in Science (or equivalent) with a minimum of 4 years of experience/Degree holders with at least 2 years of relevant experience. For Lead QC Support Technologist - Graduates of NITEC, Diploma in Science (or equivalent) with a minimum of 8 years of experience/Degree holders with at least 4 years of relevant experience.Technical Skills
Proficient technical skills in laboratory practices and hands-on experience in inventory management. Familiarity with cGLP & cGMP standards.Business Skills
For QC Support Technologist, Senior QC Support Technologist 1, 2 Basic report writing skills (preferably with legible handwriting). Basic planning and organizational skills (for individual time management and work planning). Strong interpersonal skills. Team-oriented approach. For Senior QC Support Technologist 3 and Lead Advanced report writing skills. Strong planning and organizational skills (for individual time management and work planning). Leadership and problem-solving abilities with analytical and logical thinking.Competencies:
