Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher to join our team as a Research Fellow at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

The successful candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary Science of Learning research team developing brain-based machine learning predictive models for early identification of mathematical learning difficulties in kindergarten and early primary level students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct independent research
  • Handle grant-related administrative tasks
  • Conduct literature reviews and prepare research progress reports
  • Supervise and lead a team of research staff
  • Play a central role in coordinating and running neuroimaging studies
  • Develop and manage data analysis pipelines
  • Coordinate between stakeholders from different disciplines
  • Carry out other duties as required by the PI and co-PIs
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, applicants must have a PhD degree in experimental psychology, biopsychology, cognitive psychology, educational neuroscience, NeuroAI, neuropsychology, neurology, psychiatry, cognitive neuroscience, AI in education, deep learning, biomedical engineering, computer science, or related fields.

Applicants should also possess excellent oral and written communication skills, good command of the English language, knowledge and experience in social science research methodologies, good statistical knowledge and skills, familiarity with neuroimaging software, and experience with coding languages such as R, MATLAB, and Python.
