Senior Data Platform Engineer Role Overview

In this role, you will work on designing and developing a next-generation data platform that enables faster data scheduling, reduces latency, and enhances data processing efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have experience with distributed systems, data engineering, and software development, as well as knowledge of technologies such as Kafka, Data Lake, Spark, and BigQuery.

As a senior engineer, you will lead technical decision-making, drive medium to large-scale projects, and provide guidance to junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop large-scale, high-performance distributed data processing systems (batch/streaming) to drive business growth and enhance product experiences.
  • Advocate for high-quality software engineering practices to establish scalable data infrastructure and pipelines.
  • Contribute to defining shared data engineering tool standards to enhance productivity and output quality across the company.
Requirements

You must have 5+ years of relevant experience as a data engineer, hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/CE/CIS, and possess strong working knowledge of Real-time/Batch processing systems. Experience with working data at PB scale is highly desirable.
