We are seeking a talented and ambitious culinary professional to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Head and Sous Chef in delivering consistently high-quality food in a busy kitchen environment.
- Ensure that all items arriving without authorization are not received.
- 1 year plus experience in a similar role.
- Michelin star experience is preferable but not essential.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
As a key member of the culinary team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head and Sous Chef in ensuring that the highest standards of quality and consistency are maintained at all times. This includes taking care of daily food preparation duties assigned by superiors, coordinating daily tasks with the Sous Chef, supervising junior chefs and interns, and maintaining effective communication between staff.
Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that the production, preparation, and presentation of food are of the highest quality at all times, while also ensuring highest levels of guest satisfaction, quality, operating and food costs on an ongoing basis. You will have knowledge of all standard procedures and policies pertaining to food preparation, receiving, storage and sanitation, and follow good preservation standards for the proper handling of all food products at the right temperature.
You will also be personally responsible for hygiene, safety, and correct use of equipment and utensils, consulting daily with Sous Chef and Executive chef on the daily requirements, functions and any last minute events, collecting and reporting of issues as they arise, assessing quality control, and adhering to hotel service standards.
