As an Assistant Teacher at EtonHouse, you will assist the English/Mandarin Teacher and the Principal in executing professional duties and responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the English/Mandarin Teacher to provide learning experiences for children within an inquiry-based context
  • Assist the English/Mandarin Teacher in documenting children's learning through contributions via newsletters, portfolios, etc.
  • Create a warm and nurturing environment for children
  • Build and maintain close partnerships with parents
  • Collaborate with the English/Mandarin Teacher to establish activity groups, exploration-driven teaching modes, and language environments that foster children's interest in learning Mandarin
  • Demonstrate active team collaboration and effective communication with parents
  • Contribute to recording children's learning experiences through school communications, class noticeboards, and child development observation reports
  • Provide a positive language environment that encourages children to learn Mandarin

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Possess a Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education or its equivalent with at least 1 year of relevant teaching experience
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work well independently as well as within a team
  • Hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferable)
  • Hold ECDA L2 certification
  • Have at least 1 year of early childhood teaching experience
  • Speak Standard Mandarin with good writing skills
  • Be proactive, responsible, and enthusiastic about their work

Estimated Salary: SGD 4,200 - SGD 5,500 per month
