Equipment Efficiency Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal efficiency and uptime of process equipment, including routine and non-routine maintenance, planned and unplanned shutdowns.

This role will also involve leading and guiding mechanical technicians and specialists in performing various types of maintenance, as well as spearheading reliability studies to enhance equipment performance and minimize downtime.

Additionally, this position requires maintaining meticulous engineering and maintenance records, drawings, and documents, as well as serving as a technical focal point for new installations and enhancement projects.

A key aspect of this role is overseeing maintenance, service, and spare parts contracts, including vendor negotiations and inventory management, to ensure the availability of spare parts and support process equipment.

This position also involves responding promptly to customer maintenance requests, restoring equipment failures to serviceable conditions swiftly, and working closely with the operations team to execute preventive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance on schedule.

The ideal candidate will possess leadership skills, teamwork capabilities, and the ability to manage projects independently while fostering collaboration, as well as a strong ownership mindset and willingness to travel to various plant sites for maintenance support and troubleshooting.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in the Marine, Gas, or Chemical industries, specializing in mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in maintenance and troubleshooting Centrifugal/Reciprocating/Screw Compressors, Refrigerant Units, Cooling Towers, Water Pumps, Valves, Piping, and Heat Exchanger.
• Familiarity with international standards such as API and ASME, along with local mechanical installation codes for both static and rotating equipment, is an advantage.
• Strong leadership skills, teamwork capabilities, and ability to manage projects independently while fostering collaboration.
• Customer-oriented mindset with strong ownership and team management skills, along with a willingness to travel to various plant sites for maintenance support and troubleshooting.
