Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Mechanical Product Development Specialist to join our team. As a key player in our engineering department, you will be responsible for creating and implementing mechanical products and systems that meet our clients' demands. Your primary focus will be on managing the entire lifecycle of mechanical design, from initial concept and research to final implementation and improvement. You will collaborate closely with our interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless coordination and successful project execution.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee the entire lifecycle of mechanical design, from conceptualization and R&D to execution and enhancements
* Assess product reliability, safety, and performance through prototyping, testing, and commissioning
* Develop design approaches, generate specifications, and ensure compliance through testing and documentation
* Support manufacturing engineering with tools, techniques, and process improvements for enhanced efficiency
* Guide new product developments, manage external resources, and maintain documentation best practices
* Utilize various specialized tools (CREO/ DFM/ DFMEA/ Tolerance Analysis/ Simulation etc.) to design, validate and enhance existing designs
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering
* Ideally 3 years' experience in Analog/Digital circuit design and embedded systems
* Advantageously with experience in laboratory instrumentation, tooling fabrication, die-casting, extrusion, plastic injection moulding and metal stamping process
* Proficiency in SolidWorks, 2D & 3D software
* Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Experience in LED, Automation, Thermal & Optical design is beneficial
