Power Plant Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Plant Operations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a power plant, adhering to established procedures and requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of power plant operations, including start up, load, unload, and shut down procedures. They will also possess excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and analyze plant process conditions when necessary.

A key responsibility of this role will be to maintain sound knowledge of safe operating parameters, controls, and safety interlocks to prevent damage and optimize efficiency. This will involve managing and controlling plant process operations from the control room DCS, recording plant operating data, and reporting defects and abnormalities.

To be successful in this role, you will require a diploma or NITEC in a relevant engineering discipline, as well as 2-3 years of relevant working experience in a Power Plant, preferably on a CCPP or Process Plant. You will also need to have experience involving technical aspects of Power Plant or Process Plant maintenance.

This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires flexibility and adaptability. We are looking for someone who can work a 12-hour rotating shift pattern and is able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate the power plant safely and efficiently, adhering to established procedures and requirements.
