Gas/LNG Market Analyst Job Description

The role of a Gas/LNG Market Analyst involves delivering cutting-edge market analysis with a strong focus on commercial insight. Our team employs a combination of modeling techniques and both qualitative and quantitative research to support our forward-looking views.

This position requires collecting data and information regarding market fundamentals (supply, demand, trade) and pricing for gas/LNG. It also involves analyzing and modeling market fundamentals of gas/LNG, writing analytical reports, and providing research support to consultants and senior analysts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collecting data and information regarding market fundamentals (supply, demand, trade) and pricing for gas/LNG.
  • Analyzing and modeling market fundamentals of gas/LNG.
  • Writing analytical reports.
  • Providing research support to consultants and senior analysts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of analytic or research background in the gas/LNG industry.
  • Ability to undertake independent research and work with a project team.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to obtain pertinent information and develop effective models.
  • Excellent numeracy/written skills and comfortable working with large data sets from disparate and often unstructured sources.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with data analytics, visualization, and automation tools is a plus.
