Gas, Chemical and Water Waste Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced engineer with expertise in gas, chemical and water waste systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering calculations, equipment selection, and detailed design development.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct and review engineering calculations for equipment sizing, material selection, and system design
  • Lead the development of detailed design documents, including process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and system layouts
  • Oversee and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of gas, chemical, and water waste systems into overall project designs
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory requirements for gas and chemical systems
  • Conduct risk assessments, process hazard analyses (PHA), HAZOP, and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to enhance safety and reliability
  • Evaluate new technologies and engineering solutions to improve system performance and efficiency
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring high-quality design and implementation
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication, ensuring successful project execution
  • Collaborate with procurement and vendors to assess equipment specifications, cost analysis, and supplier qualifications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering challenges, implementing best practices for system optimization
  • Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field
  • Minimum 6 – 10 years of experience in engineering roles related to gas, chemical, or water waste systems
  • Strong expertise in engineering calculations, equipment selection, and detailed design development
  • Experience with process safety management (PSM), risk assessments, and regulatory compliance
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other engineering design software is preferred
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
