Job Title: VP, Data Persistent Architect, Consumer Banking Group Technology, Technology and Operations

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Persistent Architect to join our Consumer Banking Group Technology team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-performance database solutions that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement database solutions for on-premise, private, public, and hybrid cloud platforms.
  • Develop and propose database solutions for application systems, ensuring scalability, stability, and extensibility.
  • Lead a team of experts in designing, developing, and implementing database solutions.
  • Perform research and development on new technologies and development approaches, and evaluate software packages.
  • Mentor and train application teams on database solutions and best practices.
  • Architect database designs with high availability, disaster recovery, and replication topologies.
  • Provide architecture design, review, and guidance for Cloud Native applications, including monitoring, management, disaster recovery, security compliance, and networking.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve Cloud Native application delivery for database, non-SQL, and persistent storage solutions.
  • Establish and maintain continuous delivery pipelines for deployment of related products and infrastructure.
  • Foster a culture of continuous process improvement and stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in Cloud Native architecture, design, and implementation of critical applications.
  • Experience with at least two database solutions, such as MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis, Postgres, and Neo4J.
  • Ability to install, implement, diagnose, and optimize databases.
  • Experience with production systems and dealing with production issues.
  • Experience with end-to-end configurations and technical dependencies.
  • Familiarity with API, Cache, and microservices.
  • Experience with legal and regulatory requirements, such as SOX, PCI, HIPAA, MAS 644, and GDPR.
  • Experience with automation and orchestration tools, such as Chef, Puppet, BOSH, and related tools.
  • Experience with systems monitoring, alerting, and analytics tools, such as CloudWatch, NewRelic, AppDynamics, Cacti, Graphite, Logstash, Nagios, Ganglia, Splunk, vROPS, and Datadog.
