About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Representative to join our dynamic team as a Sales Engineer. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing and sales within a fast-paced engineering environment.

You will be responsible for running around and setting meetings with potential clients to sell our technology, with WFH permitted and office visits limited to once a week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and areas for growth. Analyze competitors and the industry landscape to understand challenges and opportunities.
  • Identify and generate new business leads through networking, cold calling, and industry events. Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential clients and business opportunities.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to foster trust and collaboration. Engage with existing customers to understand their needs and identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create tailored proposals or pitches for potential clients. Ensure proposals align with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring favorable terms for both parties. Work to close deals and ensure successful onboarding of new clients.
  • Develop and refine business development strategies aligned with the company's overall goals. Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of business development initiatives.
  • Work closely with Corporate Administration to align business development efforts with corporate marketing campaigns and branding strategies. Provide feedback on market reactions to products, services, and marketing strategies to refine approaches.
  • Attend relevant conferences, trade shows, and networking events to represent the company and generate leads. Engage in relevant activities to build industry presence and reputation.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from clients to improve products, services, and overall customer experience. Act as the voice of the customer within the organization to inform product development and service delivery.
  • Provide input based on market research and customer feedback to guide product/service development or enhancement. Ensure that the company's offerings remain competitive and aligned with market demands.
  • Monitor and report on business development activities, leads, and progress toward targets. Analyze data related to sales growth, market trends, and customer engagement to inform future strategies.
Requirements:
  • I.T.E and Poly graduates with technical experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience in sales, marketing, or business development is a plus
