Job Summary:
OAKTREE CONSULTING is seeking an experienced Defence Systems Export Expert to join our team. As a key member of our compliance department, you will be responsible for ensuring that all export-controlled items are managed and monitored in accordance with relevant regulations.
About the Role:
- Manage and monitor import/export policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with import/export requirements.
- Provide support with requests for end-user undertakings and address queries raised by internal customers related to undertakings.
- Supervise and guide business units on regulatory changes and compliance matters, including adherence to provisos or license conditions imposed by exporting countries.
- Develop and establish best practices to enable overall visibility of the status of all export-controlled items within the company.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 5 years of work experience in export controls and defence technology systems. Experience related to defence, military, or highly regulated tech industries is preferred. You should possess good knowledge of the Singapore Strategic Goods (Control) Act and U.S. Export Control Regulations.
