Job Title: Visiting Researcher

The Department of Communications and New Media at a leading research-intensive university invites applications for a visiting researcher position. We are seeking an expert with a strong background in computational communication, who can contribute to our team's innovative projects.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Communication or a related field, with a focus on computational techniques using R or Python. They should demonstrate excellent teaching and research skills, as well as experience in supervising students. To be considered, applicants must submit a comprehensive CV, including education, professional background, teaching and supervision experience, research activities, and achievements. A detailed list of publications, categorized by type (papers, books, reviews), along with a citation and impact analysis, is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct innovative research in computational communication, focusing on data-driven methods for communication contexts
  • Teach courses in computational communication, social media research, network analysis, and/or time series analysis
  • Supervise students and mentor junior faculty members in research and academic endeavors
