Overview of the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Surgical Care Specialist to join our Day Surgery team. As a key member of the ward, you will provide high-quality patient care and services to patients undergoing peri-operative procedures.
About the Position:
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to develop their skills and expertise in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care and ensure seamless transitions throughout the surgical process.
Key Responsibilities:- To assess, plan, implement and evaluate peri-anaesthesia patient care in order to achieve optimum patient outcomes.
- To ensure the care and maintenance of anaesthesia equipment are functioning prior to administration to the patient.
- To demonstrate good clinical skills, knowledge and critical thinking in the delivery of quality nursing care.
- To participate in the care and maintenance of specialized equipment, ensuring an agreed standard of decontamination/disinfection at all times.
- To collaborate with anaesthetists and other healthcare providers in the anaesthesia unit in order to deliver safe and high-standard care.
- To assist in day surgery cases and other minor surgery cases.
- Minimum Diploma in Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Candidates with Advanced Nursing Diploma or equivalent will have an advantage.
- A meticulous and analytical team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- At least 1 year of clinical experience preferably in Perioperative/Peri-anesthesia or equivalent.
