Aerospace Welder Job Description

At our organization, we are seeking a skilled Aerospace Welder to join our team. As an Aerospace Welder, you will be responsible for welding different alloy metal components together using Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) and Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) processes.

  • You will apply Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in checking and assembling tasks.
  • You will operate machines for assembling tasks and perform cutting and grinding operations.
  • You will work with robotic welding cells and backup repair development of new and existing capabilities.
  • You will assist in performing ad hoc duties as assigned by the Repair Shop Manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 'O' / 'N' level or equivalent education.
  • At least 3 years of related working experience and minimum 1 year with GTAW welding process experience.
  • Possess relevant welding certification standard for fusion welding for Aerospace.
  • Candidate with Civil Aviation Aircraft Welding Approval would be advantageous.
  • Possess good analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and multitasking.
  • Must be willing to work overtime/shift if required.
