Research Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate to join our team in support of research projects in the areas of Biostatistics and Modelling.

The successful candidate will work on a project studying infectious disease dynamics and impact of control using mathematical and statistical models. Key responsibilities include:

  • Literature reviews
  • Data analysis using statistical and mathematical modelling techniques
  • Writing reports, presentations, and publication of results and findings in peer-reviewed journals

Candidates must possess either a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics or a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical or Life Sciences with quantitative analysis experience. Additionally, they must be independent workers who are well-organized and have an eye for detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also essential. Experience with Statistical software (R) is highly desirable.

We are looking for candidates with a strong background in quantitative methods and epidemiology. A Master's qualification in a relevant area is advantageous. Relevant research experience, literature reviews, and/or analysis of epidemiological data are also valuable assets.

This is a full-time position available for one year in the first instance. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively with colleagues to achieve team goals and have a desire to pursue further research.
