Energy Sustainability Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Energy Sustainability Analyst to join our team in Singapore. This role will focus on shaping new policies in the Asia-Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze and dissect complex data and policy issues related to transport energy, including oil, gas, biofuels, hydrogen, synthetic fuels, biogas, electricity, and other transport energy sources.
- Develop a detailed understanding of environmental, economic, and societal perspectives from a variety of sources, including scientific studies, reports, and models used to shape global policy.
- Create robust briefings and advocacy materials based on data-driven evidence to reduce the climate impact of the transport sector.
- Advocate T&E's position to policymakers, politicians, business leaders, civil society actors, and international networks at national, regional, and international levels.
- Proven expertise in the energy system, alternative fuel production, and/or biofuel supply chains.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to quickly grasp technical issues, assess data, and proficiency in Excel or other modeling tools.
- Relevant professional experience working on technical issues in the environmental or energy sectors, or in a research institution.
- Project management experience, including strong interpersonal and team-working skills, and ability to deliver to tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English, both written and spoken. Other Asian languages are considered a bonus.
- Experience working closely with stakeholders in Asia-Pacific countries.
- Expertise in areas such as fuel markets and economics, land use emissions, and agriculture.
- Asian languages (e.g., Mandarin, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean) are highly valued.
This is a dynamic role that requires a strategic thinker who can drive change and contribute to reducing the climate impact of the transport sector.
