Virtual Desktop Infrastructure System Administrator

The ideal candidate will possess a high level of skill and proficiency in system administration, with expertise in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) managed services. They will be responsible for optimizing system operation and resource utilization, performing system capacity analysis and planning, and maintaining fully patched/updated/mitigated Operating System images for testing and production.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform functions at a high level of skill and proficiency
  • Optimize system operation and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
  • Maintain fully patched/updated/mitigated Operating System images for testing and production
  • Collaborate with other Systems Administrators to troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting the customer's virtual computing environment
  • Work directly with VMware VCenter Server/ESXi Hosts and VMWare Horizon View Administrator to maintain virtual client pools and virtual machines for maximum efficiency
  • Monitor the virtual and physical network to ensure system availability

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years experience in VDI managed services, Windows/Linux OS, remote desktop services, storage management, DR testing/planning, network circuit management, load balancer configuration
