Automation Systems Professional

Overview

This role involves designing and implementing automation systems used in biologics manufacturing operations. It also entails supporting, managing, and coordinating all automation-related matters and infrastructure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding their requirements to provide solutions. Additionally, they will participate in the design and validation of automation systems, ensuring seamless data flow through integration points.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automation systems used in biologics manufacturing operations.
  • Support, manage, and coordinate all automation-related matters and infrastructure.
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding their requirements to provide solutions.
  • Participate in the design and validation of automation systems, ensuring seamless data flow through integration points.
  • Function as a system admin for automation tasks related to manufacturing activities, including user management, backup recovery, time sync, and audit trail.
  • Lead the troubleshooting of automation/IT-related issues in GMP operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 6 years of work experience in automation systems.
  • Experience leading and managing large automation projects.
  • Working experience with IT lab systems for R&D and GMP operations (e.g., LIMS, PI, MES, DCS, manufacturing warehouse data system).
  • Excellent working knowledge of computerized systems, security, network, and systems administration, databases, and data storage systems.
  • Team player with proven performance records, creative thinking abilities, and excellent communication skills.
