We are seeking a Principal Structural Engineer with expertise in innovative design to join our Buildings Department in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee complex structural projects, applying principles of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) and Modern Methods of Construction (MMC).
  • Lead a team of engineers, ensuring project deliverables meet client requirements and design intent.
  • Prepare detailed designs, calculations, and drawings, utilizing finite element analysis and BIM software.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including BIM modellers and technicians, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Carry out onsite supervision and quality assurance, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Mentor junior colleagues, fostering their growth and development within the company.
  • Participate in bids and tenders, contributing to business growth and expansion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 5-10 years' experience in structural design, preferably in consultancy firms.
  • Working knowledge of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), modular design, PPVC, precast, steelworks, and MET.
  • Excellent communication skills, proficiency in English, verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with common structural design software, such as ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE.
  • International mindset, driving collaboration across construction disciplines.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to develop practical solutions.
