We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Fellow to join our team in the field of enzyme engineering. The successful candidate will work on a recently granted project aimed at developing enzymes and biotransformations for the synthesis of rare sugars.
Job Description:- The Research Fellow will be responsible for engineering new enzymes through directed evolution, investigating enzyme catalysis and kinetics, optimizing biosynthesis yield and process, and developing single-step and/or one-pot cascade enzymatic reactions for the production of rare sugars.
- PhD in biochemical engineering, biocatalysis, biotransformation, biochemistry, biotechnology, synthetic biology, or bioorganic chemistry
- Experience in enzyme engineering, directed evolution, enzymatic reactions, carbohydrates biosynthesis, reaction engineering and optimization, whole-cell biotransformations, and/or process development
- Good communication skills in oral and written English
- Good publication record
