Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced carpenter to join our team. As a carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements.
  • Measure and calculate the size and amount of materials needed for each project.
  • Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials according to specifications.
  • Construct window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings using raw materials or pre-constructed items.
  • Lay out flooring, roofing, or drywall ensuring they are leveled and compatible.
  • Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other items, then install them at designated locations.
  • Inspect sites and conduct repairs or maintenance as needed.
  • Build scaffolding and other construction structures.

Requirements

  • Proven 3-5 years of experience as a carpenter.
  • Hands-on experience working with carpentry materials.
  • Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
  • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.).
  • Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
  • Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times.
  • Good physical condition and endurance.
  • Must be willing to work night shifts, Sundays, and public holidays.
  • Ability to work odd hours depending on customer requirements.
  • Capable of working long hours, including late evenings and weekends.
