About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer - Building Services to join our Building Services team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and sharing knowledge, bringing a fresh perspective to ensure the development of the people around them.
The successful candidate will have a strong design and problem-solving mindset, matched with a desire to work on meaningful and significant projects with the team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead mechanical services (HVAC) design for building projects
- Assume responsibility and undertake engineering tasks of increasing scope and complexity
- Responsible for analysis of information, production of design, tenders, proposals and technical report writing
- Assist in coordination of quality assurance and commissioning of designs with other disciplines and other design consultants
- In charge of jobs control, planning, monitoring, progress and job cost reporting
- Communicate effectively with the client, sub-consultants, contractors, and other parties relevant to the job
- Assist in assessment and review of designs prepared by others on behalf of the clients
- Liaise with authorities on plans submission and compliance
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in a consulting firm
- Leading roles experience in ventilation & air-conditioning (HVAC, Plumbing & Drainage) design & design management of commercial, healthcare or school projects will be an advantage
- Competent user of relevant engineering software, Building Information Modelling and Navisworks
- Excellent written & spoken communication skills in English
- Able to work independently & exercise initiative
