Senior Web Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Web Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing cloud-native web applications using Java and/or other server-side development languages.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex web applications with databases or servers.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions.
  • Develop front-end and back-end architecture suitable for three-tier web (and cloud native) architecture.
  • Create well-functioning databases and applications, including caching, persistence, and high-performance designs.
  • Define and write effective APIs.
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software.
  • Create security and data protection settings.
  • Write technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to help translate user requirements into functional software.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in building cloud-native RESTful web services.
  • Familiarity with common stacks and frameworks such as Java/Jakarta EE-based frameworks.
  • Fluent in server-side development languages, especially in Java and/or other programming languages.
  • Good experience in RDBMS systems and SQL language, including the use of persistence frameworks such as Hibernate.
  • Familiarity with development and deployment in cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.
  • Knowledge of modern NoSQL databases is an advantage.
  • Committed to quality, including security and performance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to pick up new languages, tools, and design patterns as needed.
