Job Description:

As a Senior Database Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in our team. You will utilize your expertise in database administration to ensure the smooth operation of our database systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Applying technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving data and system performance, and ensuring end-to-end monitoring of applications
  • Working as an Oracle Exadata Database Administrator (DBA) in a highly customer-focused database administration team, providing 7×24 support in test/prod environments
  • Resolving most nuances and determining appropriate escalation paths
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and supporting Database services
  • Strong knowledge of one or more scripting languages, such as Python, Scripting, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture, including RAC, ASM, and Data Guard
  • Strong expertise in SQL query optimization, indexing strategies, and database profiling tools
Preferred Qualifications:

The following qualifications are desirable:

  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager and other performance monitoring tools
  • Experience with RMAN database backup and recovery using ZDLRA
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, customers, and vendors
