Water Systems Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled water systems specialist to join our team. As a water systems specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the product owner in requirement gathering sessions with users.

  • Support the Product Owner: Collaborate with the product owner to gather user requirements and develop user stories.
  • Writing User Stories: Create clear and concise user stories based on user requirements.
  • Refine User Stories: Assist the technical team in understanding and refining user stories as needed.
  • Test Developed Features: Test developed features to ensure they meet user stories and detect potential bugs.
  • Test Solution: Test the solution once deployed in client environments.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Support the product owner in conducting UAT.
  • Documentation: Write documentation for various processes.
  • System Configuration: Carry out configuration changes to the system, including sensor configuration, dashboard settings, or model run settings.
  • User Support: Provide support to users when they report an anomaly or have a question, and proactively advise users during critical moments.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience and Skills: At least 2 years of experience in digital water systems, smart infrastructure is advantageous. Prior involvement in system specification writing, software testing, and user engagement. Experience in stormwater management operations is a plus. Experience in data analysis or data science is a plus. Ability to create mock-ups or lead mock-up design is a plus (Figma or others). Background in using hydraulic, hydrodynamic, and water quality models (EPANET, SWMM, SOBEK, Delft3D etc.) is a plus.
