About the Role

We are seeking an Associate AI Scientist to join our team in Singapore. As part of our Artificial Intelligence team, you will work on developing and deploying AI solutions for our customers. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and validating machine learning models for document information extraction, optical character recognition, and layout analysis.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and validate machine learning models for document information extraction, optical character recognition, and layout analysis.
  • Build and maintain scalable training pipelines for machine learning workflows focused on document processing.
  • Collaborate with data engineers on creating high-quality annotated datasets, including defining annotation schemas and guiding synthetic data strategies.
  • Experiment with state-of-the-art NLP and computer vision techniques for document understanding, contributing to research projects and translating research into product features.
  • Optimize models for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability across cloud-based production environments.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless model deployment and monitoring.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
  • 0-3 years of experience in applied research or software development, preferably in AI or cloud-based applications.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals and MLOps.
  • Practical experience with training deep learning models, prompt engineering, and LLM finetuning.
  • Proficiency in at least two programming languages, preferably Python and Java.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and motivation to deliver customer value.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
