The Centre for English Language Communication plays a pivotal role in enhancing the English language competencies and academic skills of undergraduate and postgraduate students at the National University. Our courses foster critical thinking, academic writing, professional communication, and other academic literacy skills.

As part of our interdisciplinary approach to education, we are seeking experienced professionals to join our part-time teaching team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our students' English language and academic skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach English language and academic skills courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • Develop and implement course materials and assessments
  • Provide feedback and guidance to students
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A master's or doctoral degree in English language, linguistics, applied linguistics, rhetoric and composition, communication studies, or a related field
  • Experience in teaching in higher education
  • Evidence of expertise in teaching academic writing or professional communication skills
