Project Oversight Specialist

The Project Oversight Specialist will lead a team to ensure project progression within set parameters. This includes monitoring subcontractors' work against shop drawings, method statements, materials, and samples.

The successful candidate will collaborate with relevant authorities, sub-contractors, or clients on shop drawings, materials, and samples. They will review and align mechanical design drawings to guarantee compliance with design specifications and guidelines.

A deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles is required, along with the ability to identify discrepancies between mechanical, structural, ID, architectural, and client provisions. The Project Oversight Specialist will manage and execute the project as per the deadline, attending meetings with contractors to address issues and update progress.

They will study and review drawings and specifications for compliance, allocating work to technicians and ensuring jobs are correctly and properly achieved within standards and SOP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team to monitor project progression.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders on project-related matters.
  • Reviewing and aligning mechanical design drawings for compliance.
  • Identifying and addressing discrepancies in project provisions.
  • Managing and executing projects within set deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10 years of relevant experience OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong working attitude with high level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and possess good interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Microsoft Project.
  • Capable of leading a team and working under stress.
