Chief Data Governance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our data engineering team. This role will play a key part in designing, developing and maintaining scalable big data solutions.
- Design and implement robust data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using SQL, Python and advanced frameworks.
- Lead architecture discussions, including creating and reviewing ERDs and data models.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts and cross-functional teams to address evolving data needs.
- Deploy and manage infrastructure using Terraform and other IaC tools.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deploying data applications.
The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in SQL, advanced Python development skills, experience with Terraform and CI/CD tools, and deep expertise in AWS cloud architecture.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Strong proficiency in SQL for data modeling and querying.
- Advanced Python development skills with an emphasis on data engineering use cases.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform for cloud infrastructure provisioning.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools, particularly GitHub Actions.
- Deep expertise in AWS cloud architecture and services.
- 6+ years of relevant hands-on experience in data engineering or solution architecture roles.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hive or Kafka.
- Familiarity with containerization tools and orchestration platforms.
- Solid understanding of data governance, data quality and security frameworks.
