About the Role

The Industry Manpower Development Division at Careers@Gov is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Workforce Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our division, you will play a crucial role in shaping national manpower policies and strategies to drive current and future growth industries in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and review new and existing human capital products, such as training and placement grants for Singaporeans and foreigner work pass schemes for start-ups.
  • Partner with industry divisions to co-develop solutions addressing talent and capability development interests and/or needs.
  • Engage with government agencies and tertiary education institutions on human capital policies and initiatives.
  • Analyse workforce data and industry trends to inform policy development and enhancement.

Requirements

  • At least six years of relevant work experience, preferably in consulting, public policy, capability development, corporate/regional HR, or related areas.
  • Familiarity with education, training, and human capital development is advantageous.
  • A strategic thinker with strong analytical ability, inquisitive, open-minded, and resourceful.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, able to independently deliver outcomes effectively and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability and experience in engaging and managing internal and external stakeholders.
