Chinese Language Educator Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced educator to join our team as a Chinese language teacher. The successful candidate will teach Chinese language and culture to students of various proficiency levels, helping them develop skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.

The ideal candidate will create engaging lesson plans, foster an appreciation for the language, and cultivate a supportive classroom environment where students are motivated to achieve their fullest potential. They will inspire students to appreciate the Chinese language and culture while supporting their overall language development.

  • Create and deliver high-quality Chinese language lessons aligned with the curriculum.
  • Teach literacy, communication, and conversational skills in Mandarin.
  • Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to guide learning.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Foster a culturally rich and linguistically diverse classroom environment that promotes language proficiency and cultural appreciation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and engage parents in the learning process.
  • Support school activities, enrichment programs, and cultural events.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Chinese Language, Linguistics, or related field.
  • Recognized teaching qualification/certification (e.g., B.Ed, PGCE, certification, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience teaching Mandarin, preferably in an international or multicultural setting.
  • Strong proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (reading, writing, speaking, and listening).
  • Good command of English for effective communication with colleagues and parents.
  • Passion for teaching and supporting the holistic development of students.
Additional Qualifications (Added Advantage)
  • Native or business level proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
  • Experience with international curricula (e.g., Cambridge, IB).
