Health and Wellbeing Coach Position

We are seeking a skilled Health and Wellbeing Coach to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in guiding individuals toward achieving sustainable lifestyle changes in areas such as nutrition, physical activity, stress management, sleep, and overall well-being.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will guide clients toward setting and meeting personalized health and wellbeing goals through evidence-based coaching techniques. This role involves working one-on-one with clients to empower them to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities include conducting initial assessments to understand clients' readiness for change, co-developing personalized health and wellbeing goals, using motivational interviewing, goal setting, and accountability techniques to support clients' progress, delivering individual coaching sessions, maintaining accurate documentation of coaching sessions, progress, and outcomes, collaborating with interdisciplinary team members, and participating in the development and facilitation of wellbeing workshops and events.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certification as a Health and Wellness Coach (certified by Wellcoaches and/or NBHWC, or eligible)
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in health coaching or related field
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, curious, and non-judgmental approach
  • Ability to work independently and support multiple clients effectively
  • Ability to apply behavior-change theory and coaching psychology principles as required for certification
